Woodson Art Museum to Receive $10,000 Challenge America Award from the National Endowment for the Arts
The Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum is pleased to announce it has been approved by the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) for a Challenge America Award of $10,000.

A few weeks ago, Museum director Matt Foss, assistant director and collections curator Amalia Wojciechowski, and I, had the incredible opportunity to attend the Wisconsin Governor’s Conference on Tourism held in La Crosse.

My goodness. My wife and I have been to many art museums - from the Louvre in Paris to the Milwaukee Art Museum - and, pound for pound, the Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum is absolutely wonderful. Our very first visit to this gem a couple of days ago brought a smile to me at every turn, from the beautifully-maintained outdoor garden and unique sculptures to the interesting exhibits inside a professionally-presented viewing space that covers three floors.
